CareLift Equipment has been designing and building excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their customers reach their goals since they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These models are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Often, these units are powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the great option for jobs which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine could rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These models are available in gas, diesel or propane configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects within the work site.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required before operating boom lifts so as to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks requiring lots of man hours to be carried out in a lot less time. These machinery have changed the material handling business and have greatly increased productivity.
