Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that produce enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the sounds produced from the forklift itself.
The sound produced by the audio device should be distinguishable from other audible devices or noises from the work setting. The sound must also be different from the other sound or audible devices within the work area. The audible device could employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; thus, care needs to be taken.
Determine the distance and direction the sound of the audible device is made harder because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices can occasionally get deactivated from both workers and operators as they could find them irritating. As well, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass so as to prevent injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. Noise levels are reduced at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator is able to choose the performance requirement for the particular use. Furthermore, it allows a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and reduce the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the equipment's operating characteristics in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the machine in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These specific mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
