Narrow Aisle Forklift
Utilized to both lift and lower loaded pallets from storage areas which are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular type is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like for example warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires which make maneuvering really easy.
Generally, the operator of this particular kind of forklift stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: two in the front, and one in the back. This configuration allows for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some models of these forklifts which are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the entire equipment. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.
An electric engine is utilized to power numerous narrow aisle forklifts. Electric-powered machines do not make exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the suitable option for closed areas like retail spaces. Some lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Then again, the diesel version is not recommended for indoor application since it could be quite noisy and produce exhaust.
